Hey guys. My wife and I are looking idealy to join in a D&D 3.0/3.5 game somewhere in the general vicinity of where we live in North Andover. I could also run a game if need be , but would need somewhere to host it as our place is way too small for hosting even small groups of people.
We're both long time gamers (I've been playing since I was 7 or so) and in any game we're involved in dice rolls should be important, but should still be secondary in comparison to good ol character development and actual role playing. Powerful characters are great. Power gaming is not. Peace. |

I and my husband just picked up 4e after a hiatus of a few years from DND. We are surprised at the changes in the system, but, well, we both are wanting to play again so we'll learn them. He has 25plus years in the 'field' so to speak. I have approximately 14yrs. We are seeking a mature game that focuses on characters and story 50:50. We live in Lynn, MA and both work so we would be looking for evenings/weekends that are accessible to the North Shore area. If weekends, we can travel. I am thinking a weekly game just might hit the spot.

Hi Beth! My husband and I are in exactly the same position as you! We're in the North Shore and looking to be in/host a game that has more ROLE playing than battle/strategy stuff. Toys N Things is a great place to meet up - the link on this site shows what the place used to be like, but now it's all RPG gamer stuff with tables. There are also some game shoppes in NH that are open late. We'd offer our apartment, but it's far too small for any company.
Please feel free to PM me and I'll give you my email address so we can keep in touch. I had an idea of running a "Teenagers from Outer Space" game (it's fun, silly and all roleplaying) to warm up to eachother's gaming methods/character development etc. nothing too deep or serious to start, but hopefully it'd become that eventually with a more serious D&D game (we're most comfortable in the 3.whatever systems) Nice to see someone NOT in Boston for a change! :) |

I realize this thread is old, but I just moved to North Andover and would like to join a group. I've been playing RPGs for decades but haven't done much in the last five years or so. Have you found/formed a group?
