I actually recommended Toys N Things a while back; after a disagreement with the owner I withdraw it.

Reason: he is neither willing to communicate with those who want to run anything other than D&D, and is not willing to run those games he says he is going to run - for example, he said that HE WAS GOING TO *RUN* a game of Shadowrun on Tuesdays, and then said he was going to PLAY in Pathfinder, and then just ran a D&D game. And this without trying to convince his players to play Shadowrun.

So yes, I'm bitter, but I very much dislike that sort of two-faced lying.

Ben,

There was no lying or any sort lack of communications. I did say that I would like Tuesdays to be a night for other RPGs besides D&D, but that there would to be interest in other RPGs. Other than yourself we had one other player come and talk about Shadowrun, and no one other than you had any interest in Eclipse Phase, even though I contributed to the latest book Gate Crashing. Everyone else either wanted D&D or Star Wars.
So the choice came down to trying to start a game that was only being asking for by one or two players, or go with what the other six to ten players were asking for. Would I have liked to see another game started? Yes. At the same time I listen to what others want and try to do what they ask even if it's not what I personally wanted to see happen. You can "pitch" a new game to a group, but it's up to the group to want to play it. Had you be more accepting of the group's choice (and a bit more graceful) the conflict you had with the group and me could have been avoided.
I realize you are upset, but the best way for to resolve this is to either speak with me directly, or accept that things did work out and move on. The fact is you and I both like games that are not as popular with the community as D&D. This is why I support games like Battletech, SFB, GURPs, and many others. Making comments about me that are both untrue and defaming on public sites (where I happen to be a mod in particular)will only make matters worse. I really don' t want to start down that road.

Hopefully things will work out.

Things did not and will not work out, because you have no interest in MAKING them work out. If you truly supported Battletech, GURPS, or any others, YOU WOULD MAKE ANY EFFORT WHATSOEVER TO POPULARIZE THEM, WHICH YOU DO NOT.

All-caps online is yelling, you say? WELL YOU NEED TO BE YELLED AT BECAUSE YOU AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION.
