Role-Playing Fellowship of Greater Boston Message Board › Let's play something else › Monday Night Pathfinder

Due to a string of unfortunate circumstances, we're looking for new members for our Monday gaming group. (One player is military and just received deployment orders. Another player needs to take a leave for surgery in the near future. A third is graduating college and his continued participation depends on where he finds a job.) Our core group has been playing together for a while. Everyone is really nice and we all get along. But we're looking for two or three players to fill in our imminent gaps!
We play on Monday nights (6:00-10:00) in Harvard Square. Right now we're in the midst of a Pathfinder-based campaign to stop a clandestine group who think they're saving the world by getting rid of select people. We've also just allied ourselves with a group of "freedom fighters, of a sort" by rescuing two of their number from captivity. Along the way we killed a couple of vampires, ran into bad guys posing as soldiers, and found evidence that somebody in the castle may be up to no good. Anyone want to join our private little war? :-) |

I've never played pathfinder before, but new systems are always fun. I'd definitely be interested.

I have Monday nights free, and I'm very familiar with the d20 system, though not Pathfinder's take on it specifically. Given how spotty my weekend games have been lately I'd be very interested in a new campaign. I'm also looking to meet new folks and make friends nearby, as I moved to Waltham less than a year ago and still don't know too many people in the area. I'd love to hear more.

I'd certainly be interested in another game, particularly during the week- I usually GM on Saturdays and many Sundays, but I always enjoy being a player. I've been playing various variants of D20 since the beta days, often with fun toys like Grim and Gritty or the Ultimate Classes.
I live and work in Waltham, and I'd certainly be interested in hearing more about the campaign. Who are these freedom fighters? -CPD |

I am brand new to roleplaying, but I'm rather enthusiastic about it and I'd like to get on about a new game system as well. I've used Fate dice before, I think. I have a big cube of D6 as well, I used to play WH40K. Um... anyways, I live in Newton and could give a lift to CPD over in Waltham, or take the T in, since I live basically right off the T station.

Wow! Thanks for all the replies! We don't need this many new players, but I'm open to spinning off a new group if there's interest. Shall we arrange a face-to-face to discuss details?

I'm busy on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, but the rest of my week is open to get together. I'd be happy to accommodate your schedule. Colin and I are roommates, so if he's off work he could come by too. He's available in the evenings, usually after seven pm. I'm happy to have you come here, go to your place, or meet at a neutral location. I'm flexible like that.

I'd be interested in meeting about starting up a new game as well, if that'd be okay?

Cool. If we can get 4 or 5 players who want to spinoff a new group, I'm all for it. I would prefer to game with the new group on Fridays. Does that work for everyone? (I'm totally open to "negotiating" another day; Friday is just a preference.)
Would new players like to meet on Friday, June 3, to discuss? |
