I am an original Old Fogey of the rpg world, having started in 1976 with the 3 little 8"x5.5" DnD books. I was active Con GM in N. California. I've run TORG and HERO in the past. Currently play testing my house system: MUTT (more info on the wiki)
I like most genres, but I cannot get into fatalistic genres like Call of Cthulhu or overly goth (liek most White Wolf.) I also dislike form over substance. My favorite game manuals are rulebooks, not attempts at coffee table art.
I loathe D20. About all its good for is tabletop simulation of videogames. I like HERO as a design system but find it too hard to run. I like the TORG system for its runnability and have my own meld of the two I call MUTT. ("My Universal Torg-like Thing")
When I have time I enjoy serious sci fi, preferably with either a social commentary or serious speculative element. (Most of what people today think of as 'sci fi" is "science fantasy" or 'space opera" in my book.)
Doctor Who (old and new), House. Most BBC comedy and sci fi. My favorite movies of all time are The Stuntman and The Godfather
As a player, primarily an actor/deep immersion player.

Others should come!!!!

Thanks for Jeff, for taking the time and effort to run a great game for us. I enjoyed it a lot and hope we can continue our endeavor to try new games.
Thanks for a great game, Jeff! "TORG: the Lost Armory" was a great deal of pulp-action fun. Good genre detail, from the spooky, croc-infested temple to the blonde German interrogator.
Great! I'll look forward to it. Thanks for the shout =0)
Hey Jeff, it doesn't look like it's actually going to happen either today. Xander is sick, and Frank's schedule changed so we're down to Justin and myself in addition to you as a new player. Maybe you have some time Monday or Tuesday and we could get together for character generation, alternatively we could try during or after the "Gathering" on Wednesday.
Hey Jeff, yes there is a game, but I actually just realized that you RSVP yes to the Gathering and the Astra et Umbra campaign. It would be better if we meet before hand to get you setup up with a character and integrate you into the story, prior to joining. So if you would mind it would probably better if you join the next session of Astra et Umbra. I hope you're still coming to gathering next week.
