Introduction
Hey I'm Rachel. I never really got a chance to play a lot of tabletop RPGs when I was younger and only had a small experience with it when I got older. I'd like to get more into them.
What genre do you like and dislike to play?
So far I like all the genres. I haven't found one that I have disliked yet.
What Role-Playing systems do you prefer to play or avoid?
I enjoy GURPs a lot because of its looseness and reliance on storytelling over rules. I wouldn't say I have found a system that I particularly dislike just yet. I played a bad game based off the Dresden Files system, but I'm not sure if that was the system or the particular game I played.
What kind of books or magazines do you like or dislike?
I enjoy a whole range of books. I like fantasy, science fiction, horror, and just plain fiction. I have a hard time getting into regular mystery noir books and I'm particular about the historical fiction I read. I will read romance, but I don't seek it out. My favorite book is American Psycho.
What TV Shows/Movies do you like or dislike?
I enjoy a lot of shows. I lean towards medical dramas and sci fi shows. I do watch a lot of reality tv but they're mostly noise filler. Some of the shows I am currently watching are House, Dr Who, TNG (netflix), Work of Art, Storage Wars, and The Daily Show.
What kind of Role-Player do you consider yourself to be?
A noobie still. It takes me a while to wrap my head around complex rule systems. I'm more of a writer and I like creating characters more than I like just playing them.
