Introduction

Avid Role-Player since my early teenage years. My first game was the German RPG "Das Schwarze Auge" (english: The Dark Eye) and then MERS (english: MERP). Soon we moved on from MERP to RoleMaster which I have played ever since and now-a-days HARP.

What genre do you like and dislike to play?

Like: Gritty, open and story driven campaigns

What Role-Playing systems do you prefer to play or avoid?

Prefer: A wide variety HarnMaster, Riddle of Steel, Universalis, RoleMaster, HARP, Chivalry & Sorcery ... Dislike: To tactical games with no basis in reality such as D&D

What kind of books or magazines do you like or dislike?

Like: Fantasy such as J.R.R. Tolkien's the "Lord of the Rings", Conan Novels (Robert E. Howard, Sprague de Camp) and G.R.R. Martin's "Song of Fire and Ice", but also enjoyed Dragonlance which I read a long time ago. Historical Fiction, pretty much anything written by Bernard Cornwell (Sharpe Series, Saxon Chronicles, Grail Quest, ....), C.S.S. Foresters Hornblower Series. Dislike: Most Dungeon & Dragon's based fiction

What TV Shows/Movies do you like or dislike?

Like: Robin of Sherwood (80s BBC show), Sharpe Series, Lord of the Rings Movies, Conan the Barbarian, Hornblower (both the old and the new), Firefly, Kurier der Kaiserin, Der Bauerngeneral, Ivanhoe, Knights of the Roundtable, Monty Python (Holy Grail, Jabberwocky), Rome HBO show, Indiana Jones Movies (Especially the Last Crusade), Star Wars (Episode 3-6), Alien/Aliens, Tour of Duty,

Thanks! Cambridge is considerably more convenient (I depend on the MBTA, gods help me), but I definitely look forward to DnD-networking. Or whatever it is when these sorts of things happen.
